We want to say a huge thank you to all of our students that #DidntDuckOutOfDemocracy and voted in this year’s SU Elections. Over 1160 of you made your vote count by turning up at one of our polling stations or voting online!
Our five, amazing, candidates campaigned tirelessly throughout the week and we’re incredibly proud of all their hard work. They all threw themselves into the Elections, from our candidate training to the final vote countdown.
Last Friday night, the Elections culminated in our Results Night. This was a chance for us to celebrate all of the candidates, including awards for their achievements such as Taking Time to Talk and the Most Creative Campaign video.
We also said a big thank you to everyone who made the Elections such a fantastic experience for everyone involved. But most important was the announcement of the winners!
We’re delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Leadership Elections, and the new Officer team for 2024-25 are;
President – Ruttuja Mane
Vice President Education – Elliot Atkinson
Vice President Student Activities – Jack Lambert
Ruttuja, Elliot and Jack will be starting their new roles in June, and we can’t wait to welcome them to the SU.
