Voting in the SU Leadership Elections takes place in March, but a lot happens before then!
8th December – 27th February – Nominations Open
Nominations for the elections are open from 8th December until the 27th February. During this period you can put yourself forward to run in the elections, or if you don’t want to run yourself, recommend a friend who you think would make a great Officer.
5th March – Candidate Announcement
On Thursday 5th of March, we will officially announce your candidates for the 2026 elections, and candidate campaigning will get underway. You’ll have the opportunity to meet all of your candidates in person at our Candidate Question Time, taking place from 10am-12pm in The Hangar on Monday 9th March.
9th March – 12th March – Voting Open
Voting in the elections will take place from 12pm on Monday 9th March to 5pm on Thursday 12th March. You will be able to vote online via the SU website, or at one of our pop-up polling stations on campus.
13th March – Results Night
The winners of the 2026 elections will then be announced at our Elections Results Night, taking place from 6pm in The Hangar on Friday 13th March.
