Vote for our RAG Charity
Worcester Students' Union Raise and Give (RAG) works to facilitate student fundraising at the University of Worcester. Every year we have a nominated local charity that we will fundraise for throughout the year and who will be the recipient of all proceeds raised during RAG Week.
RAG’s focused charities over the last couple of years have included, West Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre, Alzheimer’s Society, Mencap, Mind, Student Minds, and Smile for Joel: Victim Support.
Our chosen Charity for 2023-24 is Behind The Smile as voted for by our students.
The next opportunity to apply to become RAG’s focused Charity will be in April 2024.
We accept recommendations from our students on charities, after receiving a recomendation we contact the chartity and ask them to nominate themselves. Charites can nominate with or without a recomendation. We ask chaities to nominate themselves to ensure they want to enter a partnership with our SU. Charities must be based in/or do a significant amount of work in Worcestershire. Regional branches of national charities are accepted.
Student recommendations are open 17th April and close 27th April. For Worcester Students you can submit your recommendations via: https://worcsu.wufoo.com/forms/mtq5vwm1qgshac/
Charity nominations open 17th April and close 9th May. Once open, charities can submit their nominations via: https://worcsu.wufoo.eu/forms/q87o3601m10fjj/
Don’t worry though, if you aren’t chosen as the RAG Charity, RAG isn’t just about our nominated charity. It’s all things fundraising and we can always give charities and students help and support in almost any fundraising venture that takes your fancy.
