The Students’ Union has been awarded ‘Very Good’ in Green Impact by Students Organising for Sustainability UK (SOS-UK). SOS-UK is a student-led education charity that focuses on sustainability and works to embed sustainable practices across all forms of education.
Throughout the year the Students’ Union, alongside its student-led Sustainability Network and the University’s Sustainability team, have worked to embed sustainable practices across all their services, events, and campaigns. This work included support of Go Green Week at the University, reducing the use of single-use plastic, and the cost-of-living campaign which included the launch of the Community Cupboard and free Breakfast Club.
