Our Clubs, Societies, and Networks run various Give it a Go sessions throughout the year, giving you the chance to try out everything they have to offer free of charge and with no obligation to join. You can also Give it a Go by getting involved in fundraising, through Raise and Give (RAG), and by volunteering through TeamWorc Action.

Want to know why you should Give it a Go? Here are our five reasons why...
Sports Clubs - be part of a team
Being part of a team can promote healthy mental wellbeing and decrease stress. It's also a great way to challenge yourself and meet new people, as well as make some great memories. So, pick up that tennis racket or basketball, and get involved!
Societies - (re)discover your passion
Finding the right path for you can be incredibly fulfilling. Discovering a new hobby or interest provides a space for you to be creative and explore your skills. Whether you're bonkers for baking, a film fanatic, or mad over music, there really is something for everyone.
Volunteer - connect with the community
There's a whole world to explore outside of the University and TeamWorc Action provides plenty of opportunities to explore it. Volunteering is an amazing way to give back to your community, all while boosting your CV. You can even log your volunteering hours on the SU website, here, to get them recorded on your degree transcript.
Networks - create positive change together
Our student-led Networks speak up for under-represented voices in the student population and work to campaign for positive change on campus. This is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded students, celebrate diversity, and leave a real impact on the student community.
Fundraising - boost your employability
Our Raise and Give (RAG) Team organise and deliver a variety of fun and unique fundraising events throughout the year. Getting involved with RAG can help you improve your employability skills and you'll also make some unforgettable memories along the way.
