University of Worcester Students Rugby Football Club
Welcome to the University of Worcester Men's Rugby Club.
After an undefeated seson, the 1st XV have been promoted will now be playing in the Midlands 2A BUCS League this 23/24 academic year. The 2nd XV will continue to compete in the 4B BUCS League.
With already established players giving it their all and rilled up for this season, both teams offer you the opportunity to join and play at a high, competitive standard of rugby.In the past, we have had a number of members go on to represent their national teams or play professionally.
We can accommodate any ability of player whether you’re a relative beginner or a seasoned county player. There is no barrier to who or how many players can join. If you're willing to give it your all and become the best player you can possible be, we want you to be apart of our journey!
We have league and cup fixtures home and/or away almost every Wednesday during term time. Alongside training sessions during the week. This is what our average term-time week will look like:
- Monday (Training); 18:15-19:15, 1st Team. 19:15-20:15, 2nd Team.
- Tuesday (Training); 20:00-21:00, All teams.
- Wednesday (Game Day)
- Stength & Conditioning Training Throughout The Week
The Club Committee is made up of members who have been elected and are responsible for the running of the club. The committee is broken down into specific roles; Chairman, Vice Chairman of Admin and Finance, Vice Chairman of Inclusivity and Promotions, RAG representative, and two Social Secretaries.
At the end of the season, there is an annual varsity game against Gloucester. This is the biggest game of the year for the Club and the university.
