It’s that time of year again whereby thousands of students descend upon the City of Worcester to welcome in the new academic year. For first years, these initial few weeks of student life generally become the most unforgettable moments of your university career, as you find your way around campus life, make new friends and have a party all at the same time!
So, dig out your old school uniform and don your best 80s retro attire for a week of celebrations, because Tramps have just released their official Welcome Week line-up for 2017! Keep reading for the full lowdown.
WRISTBANDS AND TICKETS
One hundred Earlybird Wristbands will initially be on sale at the price of £44. If you purchase a wristband online now, you’ll be saving around 50% compared to buying tickets for the events individually. After all the Earlybird Wristbands have sold out, Advanced Wristbands will be available for £49. If you plan on attending the majority of events being held at Tramps this Welcome Week, we suggest considering the wristband option.
Tramps will have a stall in the Students' Union for you to collect your Wristbands on arrival weekend.
AVOID FAKE WRISTBANDS! Official Welcome Week tickets and wristbands can be purchased in advance through Tramps (http://www.trampsnightclub.co.uk/tickets) OR on the Students’ Unions website (https://www.worcsu.com/eatdrinkshop/welcomeweek/) from 5pm on Tuesday until arrival weekend.

Welcome Party – Saturday 16th £7 (includes After Party entry to Tramps!)
We’re kicking off a massive Welcome Week line-up with our Welcome Party at Mode! Head into town with your flatmates where we’ll be waiting to introduce you to Mode - the city’s biggest student bar. The perfect place to mingle and meet new people with pool tables, DJ sets, and a huge chill out garden!
Mode is perfect place to mingle and meet new people - We’re the student hub in the city centre! Open throughout the week, we serve delicious food and show live sport on over 20 HD Tvs in the day. At night, we transform into a lively bar with pool tables, DJ sets, and a huge chill out garden – perfect for pre-drinks!
The party carries on at Tramps where you can bust your finest moves and top off an unforgettable first night at uni!
Chase and Status LIVE – Sunday 17th £20

Chase and Status - The biggest names in UK dance music head to Tramps to start the Welcome Week celebrations in incredible style. After topping the charts with MASSIVE tunes “Blind Faith” and “End Credits”, smashing festivals across the world, and collaborating with huge names including Rihanna and Emelie Sande – they’re guaranteed to light up Welcome Week with an absolutely unmissable set!

UV Glowbot Rave – Monday 18th £7
We’re kitting out Tramps with insane UV visuals and creating a trippy glow in the dark backdrop perfect for getting your rave on! Cover yourself in UV paint and glitter and prepare to be mesmerised by the incredible décor and glow-bot performers.

Funky Bunch Back to School Quiz and Schools Out – Tuesday 19th £7 (includes entry to Tramps)
You’ve just started uni but we’re taking you back to school with the Funky Bunch Quiz! Get your uniforms on and head to Mode where we’ll be combining brains and beer for a pub quiz with a Funky twist! Then it’s time for recess at Tramps where we’ll be hosting School’s Out – the ultimate school disco with non-stop pop anthems and 2000s chart classics!

Play@Mode Meet n Greet – Wednesday 20th - £7
Play@Mode is the OFFICIAL Worcester SU Sports and Societies night every Wednesday! We’re kicking the year off with a Meet and Greet for you to get to know your new team mates and societies! Expect ridiculous fancy dress themes, drinking games and hilarious challenges hosted by the Play@Mode team.
The mingling continues at Tramps where you can hit the dance floors all night long!

Play@Mode FREE Breakfast - Thursday 21st
After a long night of partying nothing quite aids recovery like a full English! Head to Mode where we’ll be serving a free breakfast for Welcome Week wristband wearers. Delicious! (11am – 2pm)
Beach Party vs. Silent Disco – Thursday 21st - £8
Shades and sun or silent skanking? We’re giving you two huge nights in one for our Beach Party v Silent Disco Welcome Week Mash-up! Get your snorkels on and hit the main room where we’ll be bringing the seaside to the west-midlands at our Beach Party! We’ll be handing out Silent Disco headsets in room two where you can bop and shuffle all night long.

Mature Student Meet n Greet – Friday 22nd
Meet up with your fellow students for a free coffee at Mode! The perfect way to mingle, and get introduced to Mode – the student hub in the city centre!
We open all week serving delicious food and a wide range of drinks! We also show all of the biggest sports events on over 20 HD TVs, and boast pool tables, dart boards and a Worcester’s largest city garden.
Full on Fridays Retro Fancy Dress – Friday 22nd - £7
Start your weekend with a Friday Night rewind as we spin back the clock at Velvet! Take your pick of 4 huge rooms as you move to the biggest tunes of the 90s and 00s, alongside the hottest chart tracks and old skool RnB bangers.
Groove on the dance floor, sip our delicious cocktails and kick back in our chill out garden!

Conor Maynard at the Glam Masquerade Ball – Saturday 23rd - £16
The Masquerade Ball is the highlight of Welcome Week, and we’re teaming up with Glam to make this the best ever, as we present a live performance from the sensational Conor Maynard! Glam have a huge reputation for bringing the biggest names in the UK scene to Worcester, and Conor’s incredible vocals will provide the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable night. Dress to impress, as you’ll be walking the red carpet and posing for snaps by our paparazzi photographer, before enjoying a glittering champagne reception!
The entire venue will be completely transformed with dazzling decoration as we top off Welcome Week with an elegant finale.

Survivor Sunday – Sunday 24th - £7
8 massive events down, and you still want more?! Head to Tramps for Survivor Sunday where Worcester’s hard-core can come together for one more night of partying! We’ll be giving out a FREE DRINK to all Welcome Week wristband wearers to reward you for your incredible willpower.
Paint Party – 8th October
It’s going to be messy! Your Welcome Week wristband also grants you FREE ENTRY to the city’s biggest paint party!
Our massive paint cannons shoot out gallons of paint, guaranteed to make this the most colourful night of the year!
