Give a gift this Christmas

The Students’ Union is working with Worcester Food Bank to help with their Christmas Present Donation Project. Worcester Foodbank helps local people in crisis to ensure that no one in the local community goes hungry. When the festive period arrives, many families find themselves worrying about what will happen over Christmas and getting themselves into more debt as they try to provide for their children. To prevent this, Worcester Foodbank have expanded their offering and from 26th November to 14th December, they take donations of Christmas presents and then meet with families to best match a present for their child based on their interests.

Below are the guidelines for the collection:

Yes please:

  • Presents for children aged 0-18 years old
  • Unused/unopened/new
  • Keep Presents unwrapped

No thank you:

  • No more than £15
  • No clothing items
  • No electronics/video games/anything that requires batteries

We will be collecting donations at the Students’ Union, both students and Staff can donate, and these can be dropped off to the Welcome Desk between Mondays – Fridays, 9am - 5pm, up to the 14th December. At the end of the collection they are dropped off to the Foodbank where we will have some of our student volunteers at the ready to wrap.
