A statement from your Students' Union Officers in relation to the flags across the city.
"We would like to acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the display of St George’s flags around the university and across the city. While these flags are not located on university grounds, we understand the impact their presence may have had on some of our students.
At Worcester Students’ Union, we are proud to represent a diverse student body, and we remain committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Inclusivity is a core value of our Union and we stand firmly in support of students from all backgrounds.
As a visible reaffirmation of this commitment, we will be flying our diversity flags outside The Hangar throughout the year. We also invite students to contribute to this display by bringing flags that represent their cultures, identities, and communities. If you would like to be involved, please contact us via email.
