Students' Union Support Crew

We are always looking for returning students to volunteer as one of our SU Support Crew to help the Students’ Union team in getting involved with different SU events and activities throughout the academic year, including, Welcome Week, Elections, RAG Week, Refreshers' Week, Student Volunteering Week and Varsity Events.

How to apply: You can find out more about being an SU Support Crew member here. You can apply to be part of our SU Support Crew by simply filling out this form or emailing a.bateman@worc.ac.uk

Student Groups Committee Members

These are for Sports Clubs and Societies and they sit on a committee for the relevant group and ensure it runs effectively for it's members. Some Clubs and Societies are in need of students to come in and take over - have a look here Adopt a Soc (worcsu.com).

Adopt a Club or Soc

If you don't fancy that you can also start your own Club or society. More information can be found here - Start a New Society or Sports Club (worcsu.com)

Course Reps

Course Reps represent students on their course and in their year of study. Their key task is to represent students’ views at course level, attending and making a positive contribution to the Course Management Committee. You can see more information on the role here: Academic Representation (worcsu.com)

How to Apply: Course leaders have responsibility for ensuring that students elect their Course Reps and that the Course Reps are listed on SOLE, so that everyone can easily find out who their representatives are. Ask your Course Leader at the beginning of the academic year, some Course Reps are elected and some are chosen by Course Leader. If you need more information or help, you can email sebastian.james@worc.ac.uk

Student Led Volunteering Projects

Got an idea that can help people? Want to be your lead on your project? From DJ workshops in local youth clubs, to baking cakes and buddy schemes, come and have a chat to us about it and we'll help you get started. A student-led project starts with an idea for a scheme or project that will make a difference to the lives of not just the students but the wider community. All projects are entirely student-led, run by student volunteers with the support of the Students' Union.

You can make new friends, help in the community, campaign and fundraise for causes that you care about and enhance your university experience. It's not too late to give it a go.
