The Biology Society at the University of Worcester aims to prove that biology can be interesting and that it’s not just for those taking a biological science subject, everyone is welcome!!

We provide lectures from guest speakers throughout the year on a variety of topics and careers relating to all of the biological sciences, including lectures from postgraduates to speak about what they are doing with their degrees from Worcester and the work they are currently part of.
Previously we have out on trips to the Sealife centre and Botanical Gardens!
Last year, we put on a trip to an event called "The VIVIT Experience", that provided an in-depth teaching of anatomy and physiology of the thoracic (chest), cervical (head) and abdominal (stomach) cavities.
More information can be found here:
This year we will be putting on "mini-practical" laboratory based events consisting of Dissections, Microscopy and Histology, and trips to the Medical Museums of Worcester, including The Infirmary and George Marshall Medical Museum; where univeristy Lecturer Mike Wheeler has been a speaker! Along with joint events with the Nature Society and the Royal Society of Biology!
