We have a selection of events already organised, which you can see detailed below. We plan to arrange much much more! Including collaborations with other societies, trips and many more socials! We want to hear from you about what you would like to see us organise. Please feel free to drop any of us a message with any questions, we are all more than happy to help.
September: We had our first social!
October: We ran our Give it a go! We watched blue planet and chatted. We had a pub quiz in town and we did Pumpkin Carving on campus. We also supported UniBoob with the 24hour Bikeathon. Finally we had our Halloween Social in the Hangar
November: We watched the School of Science and the Environment's Research Seminars by Dr. A Bueno and Ellen Joyce (PhD Candidate). We collaborated with the LGBTQ+ Network to host a LGBTQ+ in STEM day event where we raised £101 for Stonewall! Dr Steve Coles did a virtual talk about his current research on Acute Myeloid Leukaemia virtually for us.
December: Dr Kate Ashbrook spoke about the Science of Christmas for the Royal Society of Biology. Our Winter Clothes Drive came to an end, thank you so much to all who donated! We took part in Festive Fortnight with the SU and got all crafty!
January, February and March: Study Sessions on a weekly basis! Check our Instagram for room location.
