We're teaming up with UniLife for yet another incredible trip to one of the UK's most beautiful towns!
On Sunday 1st November, we're heading to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a picturesque market town best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, with plenty of history and charm packed into its streets. From the timber-framed buildings to the peaceful stretch of the River Avon, there’s a real sense of character round every corner. It makes for a brilliant day trip, whether you want to explore Shakespeare’s birthplace, take a walk along the river, or just enjoy the shops and cafes tucked along the historic streets.
You'll enjoy a smooth coach pick-up from the SU, just show up, hop on, and let the Trip Leaders do the organising. Arriving in the morning, you'll have the chance to look round Shakespeare’s Birthplace, take in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, or just wander through the town’s streets and shops. In the afternoon, you'll have a guided walking tour of the city. It’s a great way to get a bit more context behind what you’ve seen (and probably discover a few places you’d have otherwise missed). Expect a mix of history, architecture, and some lesser-known stories that bring the city to life. And after the tour, you’ll have a bit more free time to revisit anywhere you liked, pick up something to take home, or just find a spot to relax.
Tickets are on sale now via the UniLife website for just £47 (plus booking fee).
