Biology Society warmly welcomes you to the 2nd in our Series of 'Lunchtime Lectures'

Proteins in Cancer: Stem Cells and Metastasis

Instead of sitting in a busy canteen with your lunch, why not join us in room EEG207 and feed your brain and your belly!

Join the Biology Society and resident Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry - Dr Amy Cherry to hear about her exciting research. Two properties of cancer that make it difficult to treat are its Stem-like properties and its ability to metastasise into other tissues. Amy will give a brief overview of two of her research projects: studying cell differentiation in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and using genes as biomarkers to identify Bladder cancer metastases.
