Hi! I’m Neve Ricketts and I’m running for VPSA in the leadership elections 2021. In my four years at Worcester I have been the social secretary for dance, created and chaired my very own society and supported academic feedback as a school rep for the school of arts. After the year we have been through, #TeamWorc has never been so important to the student experience and well-being, I would be honoured if I could carry that legacy on.

• Introducing the ‘WORC-STAR’ of the week. Each club and society have their unsung hero of the match, event and competition. As #TeamWorc, we should be celebrating all of our outstanding students, so every society can submit their ‘Worc-star’ of the week to be promoted on social media.

• I aim to bring ‘Life Skill’ events and workshops to the student’s union; aimed at students for a life after university. Applying for a mortgage, driving lesson tips or even cooking skills. The path to adulthood isn’t always so easy!

• I’d like to widen the #TeamWorc community. If the past year has taught us anything; it’s that were better when we come together. I want to work with networks and non-society students to see how they can become a part of #TeamWorc too.

• I’d make it my mission to carry on the important campaigns already established in #TeamWorc. Mental health in sport, the consent campaign and the membership reach scheme available for students come September.
