Spotlight is the university’s drama and theatre society. We meet weekly to have a brilliant time sharing our common interests, having fun with friends and creating entertaining theatrical productions!

Why Join Spotlight?

A friendly, fun and inclusive atmosphere.

To be a part of two theatrical productions per academic year: one variety show and one full length play!

A space for people of all experience and confidence levels to develop and display their artistic talents- acting, singing, dancing, drawing and much more!

An opportunity to explore stage management, costuming and other technical aspects that go into the making of a theatrical production.

A variety of enjoyable socials that will take place both in-person and online, including sober socials too.

So whether you take to the stage, help out behind the scenes or just come along to hang out, by joining Spotlight Theatre Society you'll always be the star of the show!

Semester 2 rehearsal date and location: Every Tuesday, 6:30-9pm, Cotswolds Suite B (on the first floor of the Edward Elgar building).

This year we are looking to collaborate with other societies throughout the year to put on some fantastic events! If you would like to collaborate with us on a particular project then please email our chair with your idea! Their email is at the bottom of this page.
