UoW’s Women’s Basketball is a club for all students and abilities, whether you are interested in performance-based games and training, recreational basketball, or just want to take part in our social events.
Our 1st team is a competitive, performance-based team currently competing in BUCS Premier and is for those who have played before. It is an opportunity to play at a high level and train at the University of Worcester Arena. We are now undefeated champions for the past two seasons, which have seen us earn promotion from Midlands 2A to Midlands 1A to now competing in BUCS Premier, the highest BUCS league in the country. Successful cup runs have shaped the last few years, reaching two consecutive BUCS finals, and being crowned champions in 2025.
Our second team partakes in the BUCS Midlands 2A, a great opportunity for learn to play whilst meeting new people in a fun and social setting. You will also have the chance to be a part of our thriving social community, enhancing your university experience! All abilities are welcome, come try something new this academic year!
If playing basketball is not for you, you can still be a part of our club! We have a wide range of social events for you to take part in throughout the year, from charity fundraisers, to Wednesday night outs, as well as sober socials such as bowling. If you want to meet new people and raise money for charity, come and join us!
