About the Geography Society (GEOGSOC):
We welcome students from all years, abilities and backgrounds to socialise and engage with different events throughout the year.
For Geography students, this is a great opportunity to socialise with students of all years across the different courses .
This society is not just for geography students, but for any student with a passion and enjoyment of the world around them!
Membership is £5 for the year!

Events
We also have lots of socials throughout the year with a range including a trips, variety of fundraising events, film nights, bowling, guest lectures and study support groups.
Each year, we hold Christmas and Summer Formals which are attended by students and lecturers to celebrate the past year of hard work.

Past achievements
Previously, we raised money and twinned a toilet in Malawi as part of raising awareness for World Toilet Day. We are hoping to continue this and twin more toilets around campus this year!
We have also raised money for the WWF to help reduce the impact of humans on the environment.
The society hopes to become more involved in making the world a better place to be for all life.

Collaborations
As a society we have worked with other groups to collaborate on events such as our Malvern Hills Walk with Student Minds and Nature
Some of the committee helped organised the annual Beacons Development Charity Conference held in the Hive and the society volunteered on the day.
In previous years, we have been privileged to be nominated for Society Promoter of the Year and Most Charitable Society of the Year at the Union Awards.
