The climbing and mountaineering club is a vibrant and friendly club. We welcome beginners, hardcore climbers and everyone in-between.
Single Semester and Full Academic Year membership price includes the cost of membership with the British Mountaineering Council
Don't worry if you don't have any kit, we have harnesses, helmets, belay devices and more! These can be borrowed when required without charge, just ask a member of committee!
For the more experienced climbers we have 2 complete TRAD climbing sets available to borrow, each in their own bag which has everything you need to get out on the rocks.
Membership also allows access to learn to climb sessions, discounts at the Up and Under store and various BMC discounts
[We run weekly climbing sessions where climbers of all abilities can learn new skills in a sociable setting with lots of friends. Beginners will learn skills such as how to belay and the foundations of how to climb. The more experienced climber will also learn how to improve upon their skills and learn new techniques. These sessions take place every Wednesday afternoon at Redpoint Worcester. The sessions will from 4.30pm to 6.00pm, however many of our members will be there earlier and will be welcome for anyone to join them.
[Socials are a great way to meet new friends at university as well as relax from the busy university lifestyle. After every Wednesday climbing session there will be a social event held. These will often be themed, and will end in Tramps night club (subject to guidelines). All information for Wednesday socials, including times, locations and themes will be posted in our Facebook group at least a week before they are due to occur. A social calendar will be pinned in the Facebook group and everyone will be made aware of any changes to the schedule. updates on sintagram stories will also include social themes and dates.
Social aren't always about partying. We will be organising lots of sober socials throughout the year such as bowling, film nights and BBQ’s. These will also be posted on Facebook with all the relevant information at least a week in advance.]
