Plastic Free Campaigns
We are a member of Plastic Free Worcester and are working with partners across Worcester to try and reduce the amount of single use plastic on campus. All students at the University of Worcester are encouraged to go plastic free, or do their best to reduce the amount of plastic they use in their day-to-day lives.
The Last Straw
We launched 'The Last Straw' campaign during our 2018 Dissy Day Party, banning single use plastic straws from The Hangar for the duration of the campaign. In line with the NUS initiative, the campaign was focused on raising awareness among our students about plastic wastage and what they (and we) can do to be more sustainable.
