Hockey is an exciting and fast paced sport where at times you will be pushed to your full potential to achieve great things. Our members are hardworking and committed to achieving the best they can. We are a close group of ladies who support each other and always have fun. We welcome all new members of any ability and encourage social members to join even if they don’t fancy playing.
Although we are fairly unsure as to what the season is to hold this year, we are aiming to have two teams playing competitively on a Wednesday, the 1st play in MIDLANDS 1A, the 2nds play in MIDLANDS 4A and they both play in the BUCS Midlands Conference Cup so there is plenty of chance to get involved. We offer both structured and recreational astro based training sessions so all abilities have a chance to get on the pitch and develop your skills. As well as games we also offer dress up socials every week to meet new people and to celebrate game results.
We're not just focused on hockey, we do fid the time alongside our studies to do various events throughout the year! These include a variety of charity events, such as our annual Charity Hockey Tournemant where our teams challenege American Football and a Coaches' All Star team all in the aid of rasing money for good causes. We also have various celebratory meals including a cheistmas meal and Colour's Ball which offer great opportunites to trade the astro trainers in for some heels and get dressed up.
If you’re looking for something other than studying at University than UoWWHC is for you, we offer a high intensity sport, plenty of games to get involved with and a fully packed social calendar. Look out for us at the society fair on the 13th September where you can find out loads more information and can sign up to join.
