Worcester Students’ Union RAG has continued to go from strength to strength, with clubs and societies working hard and fundraising throughout the academic year. As of the 13th February we are very pleased to announce the RAG Total now sits at £18,293.37, beating last year’s whole RAG total by £300!
Specifically for WMRSASC - our focused charity for the year - we have raised £1,927.01. Recent fundraising activities for them have included:
- Volleyball match between American Football and Volleyball
- Social Sports Day
- RAGVent Charity Raffle
- Dance Bucket Collections
- Pole Fitness Showcase
Fundraising activities for a number of different charities have also included:
- Charity Head Shave for Little Princess Trust and Living Pearl Orphanage, raising over £1,000
- Music Society ‘Go with the Glow’ Charity Gig for Cancer Research
- Football match between Men’s Rugby and Men’s Cricket for Movember, raising over £1,500
- Women’s Rugby Save the Children Jumper Day
- Guide Dogs Pat & Chat
- Football Programme Charity Quiz, raising over £1,300 for the Missing People Charity.
And we still have lots more fundraising to do. In the next couple of weeks we have; a Wheelchair Basketball tournament, dodgeball tournament, Education Teaching Fair, and Comic Relief. And our annual Student and Staff Race Day and Worcester Race Course will be returning at the start of May.
