February marks LGBTQ+ History Month, a month designed to educate people about the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate elements of LGBTQ+ history that are often overlooked.
Your LGBTQ+ Officer, James, along with the LGBTQ+ Society has organised a number of events to celebrate the month, and get people involved and talking about LGBTQ+ issues.
Open Debate - Thursday 6th Feb – 12:30pm – The Hangar
Join the LGBTQ+ Society and Debate Society in The Hangar for an LGBTQ+ History month themed open debate. Topics will include heteronormativity, LGBTQ+ parents, and whether more should be done to support mental health in the LGBTQ+ community.
Q and Gay – Monday 17th Feb – 12:30pm – The Hangar
Join the LGBTQ+ society alongside Loco members as They discuss topics such as how to be an ally, the experience of coming out as LGBTQ+, and answer any other questions you might have about the community.
Quiz Takeover – Tuesday 18th Feb – 9pm – The Hangar
The usual Hangar quiz as you usually know it with a little extra LGBTQ+ History Month twist.
Improv Night – Thursday 27th Feb – 8pm – The Hangar
In association with Loco Show Co and Spotlight Theatre Company, join us for a night of comedy, improv and audience participation, with plenty of twists and turns along the way!
