    • University Hardship Fund (ALF)

The majority of financial support to students is provided by the University's Money Advice Team and they can be contacted via Firstpoint.

They cover issues such as:

  • Grants
  • Bursaries
  • Student finance
  • Debt
  • Welfare benefits

The University Money Advisers also administer and advise on the University's hardship fund (ALF - Access to Learning Fund). However, SU Advisors are able to offer students help filling in their ALF forms or checking their documents and evidence before submission.

If your financial query relates to housing deposits, debts to the University (including accommodation debts) or other issues regarding University services then please get in touch with the Students’ Union.
