Meg Price – NUS Delegate candidate
I believe being NUS delegate is a fantastic opportunity to voice your views on a national stage. I already work as a student representative in my role as Vice President Education and wish to represent your views through this role. My experience as a representative means I can advocate for what really matters for University of Worcester students as well as make decisions and vote on policies that may affect you in the future. I am aware of how the National Union of Students operates and how their policies can affect not only current but also future students here at Worcester.
Here is an outline of my priorities as NUS delegate if I were to be voted in for the role:
- Lobby for the governance review of NUS to be delivered as voted for at last NUS conference
- Ask strong questions about the marketing and recent developments around TOTUM cards and emphasise the impact of that on SU’s like Worcester
- Highlight the need for NUS to develop resources to help small and medium size SU’s like Worcester to help give guidance as the national student body on national issues
I genuinely believe in the power of student voice and hope that you will vote for me to represent you on a national stage. Please feel free to come and chat to me if you have any questions about my manifesto or the NUS conference. ??
