VOTE VAL FOR STUDENT COUNCILOR FOR SCHOOL OF NURSING & MIDWIFERY

WHO AM I?

I’m Val, a 2nd Year Adult Nursing Student from September cohort 2017. I am an energetic, vibrant and motivated individual. I am determined to contribute my time & energy to create positive changes that students want to see. I want the Nursing & Midwifery Students to feel I’m a person who they trust; I’ll put my efforts into making university life for Nursing and Midwifery students as fun & fulfilling as I can.

WHY VOTE FOR ME?

I am extremely passionate about being a voice for the students for the School of Nursing & Midwifery. I was previously a Course Rep for the first year & attended Parliament representing the SU & Student Nurses to talk about government funding. I want to be able to help ensure the interests & needs of the students are represented in a fun & professional way.

WHAT DO I AIM TO ACHIEVE?

  • Listening to your voices and being an active member in the Student Union life & taking active measures to initiate changes you want to see.
  • Speaking & representing your views candidly, politely to the University & feeding them back to you.
  • To create stronger links between the course reps in School of Nursing & Midwifery & the SU through meetings & social media.
  • Devoting time to attend Student Councillor meetings with other Student Councillor members across the University. Attending these meetings I am able to stay informed on current issues & help implement changes.
