Student Academic Representatives (StARs)

Ensure students views are heard when it comes to what they want from their course. For more information see our StARs pages.

How to Apply

Ask your Course Leader at the beginning of the academic year, some StARs are elected and some are chosen by Course Leaders.

 

Student Trustees

 

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the management and administration of the Students’ Union and its powers include responsibility for the governance of the charity, the budget and the strategy.

We need student trustees to provide representation to the student body and ensure the Students' Union is run accordingly. Student trustees are required to attend all meetings of the board of trustees (no fewer than four in an academic year).

How to Apply

We usually advertise opportunities around April each year. If you are interested in applying you can register your interested using our volunteering application form.


Varsity Volunteers

A brand new opportunity to volunteer in the Students' Union.

We offer students the oportunity to watch Worcester and Gloucestershire Universities battle it out on the pitch and help us to sell tickets, and manage the events.

Student Groups Committee Members

Voted in by the groups members to run the student group, providing the activities that their members want to participate in.

How to Apply

Committee members are elected by their own sports team or society.

 

Part-time Officers

Voted in by students to work alongside sabbatical officers to campaign and represent students, ensuring the Students' Union is truly student-led. Click here to see our current part-time officers.


How to Apply

Part-time officers are elected during our annual elections period, usually in March each year.

NUS Delegates at National Conference

We have two student NUS Delegate positions. Elected by students to represent them at the NUS Annual Conference, where thousands of students gather together to elect a new national committee and debate and decide on policy for the upcoming year.

Freshers' Volunteering Crew

Get involved in all of the Freshers' Week action whilst gaining valuable volunteering experience. Roles include tour guides, ticket selling and events helpers.

The Voice, student newspaper

Do you want to be involved in The Voice our student newspaper? The newspaper is written and designed by students with the support of Students' Union staff.

We are always looking for contributers, reporters and photographers.
