The Hive, Worcester

The Hive is looking for enthusiastic, passionate volunteers.

There are a variety of exciting roles available supporting the services as well as roles to support the daily running.

Meeters & Greeters
One of the first contact points for people visiting The Hive, they will help create a friendly and welcoming environment for visitors.

Tour Guides
Share your passion and knowledge for The Hive and its services in an interesting and enthusiastic tour. Tour guides are required for a variety of specialist interests.

Events Support
There will be a variety of exciting and unique events at The Hive to get involved with and provide support for. Assist The Hive staff before, during and after the events.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of the community, to support the mixture of exciting and creative activity taking place to establish The Hive as the most innovative and inspiring developments this county has ever seen.
Applications welcome from all sections of the community regardless of age, disabilities or experience and full training will be provided for the roles volunteers will be involved with.

The volunteering hours required will vary dependant on role and hours will be as flexible as possible.

If successful you will be contacted for a group selection event in The Hive to explain the volunteering position and ensure the position suits you.

Great Escape Challenge, Marie Curie Cancer Care

On May 18-20, 2012, companies from across the UK will go head to head in the great outdoors on a unique adventure set in the stunning location of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

Hike, bike and kayak your way around a thrilling, action-packed course whilst tackling 10 unique team challenges en route that will test your mind, body and business skills.


The Great Escape Challenge needs volunteers to help marshall, set up the course and register participants amoungst other duties.

Volunteers will receive meals, accommodation and are invited to the Saturday night celebration party.

Beaver Scout Leader

Need a new Challenge?

Could you support and inspire and make a difference to young people and adults?

Do you enjoy playing games and being outdoors with young people?

As an adult leader you would be responsible for coordinating the weekly Beaver Scout Section meetings, ensuring that you provide good quality scouting for young people. The Beaver Scout Section is for 6 to 8 year olds, currently meeting on a Friday evening from 6pm till 7.15. You do not need previous experience of Scouting; we provide adult training and support.

We are a friendly and successful Scout Group, meeting in the Rainbow Hill area of Worcester.

PR & Communication Intern, Acorns Children's Hospice

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened children and young people, and their families, across the heart of England.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR and communications intern. Reporting directly to the PR manager (and press officer), this role will work with colleagues across the organisation, as well as supporters and volunteers, to deliver accurate and effective communications for Acorns Childrens Hospice, promoting awareness and generating income.

The role will assist with a range of duties such as press releases, photocalls, launches and liaising with journalists. It will also support marketing campaigns and both fundraising and care events, whilst helping maintain internal systems of monitoring and reporting.

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter - Ongoing Opportunities

Worcesteshire Animal Rescue Shelter is an independent charity rescuing and rehoming unwanted cats and dogs.

There are very flexible ongoing opportunities at Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter for walking and socialising rescue dogs and cats.

Turn up any day between 11am and 3pm, whether it be to arrange a regular time slot or a one-off. There is no minimum length of time you are expected to commit for - any time and help you can give is appreciated.


A love of animals is essential, and be prepared to get muddy if walking the dogs!
