► Conduct

With an event of this scale there are certain health and safety issues and concerns which we have to bear in mind. In the interest of your ow safety and that of your fellow competitors and spectators please be aware of the following;

PLAYER CONDUCT

Though the 2011 Varsity series is a competitive event, it is expected that all players and competitors uphold the values of sport at all times. When participating in this series all players and competitors are in effect representatives of their University and Students' Union and should duly behave in a manner befitting this status.

SPECTATOR CONDUCT

Spectators are requested to respect players from both teams, match officials and their fellow supporters. Racist, or Homophobic abuse, or obscene gestures will not be tolerated by the organisers of Varsity 2011.

At St Georges Lane (Worcester City FC), Kingsholm (Gloucester RFC) and University of Worcester Sports Centre (Worcester Wolves) spectators will be requested to adhere to the usual stadium rules for that venue.

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

  1. On the day of Varsity events alcohol is not permitted to be drunk on either the Worcester (St Johns) or Gloucester (Oxstalls) campuses, and should not be present at any sports fixtures. The only exception to this rule are the designated and licensed bar areas, that's the Dive Bar at Worcester and the Oxstalls Bar at Gloucester.
  2. In keeping with FA rules alcohol can not be consumed within sight of the pitch at St Georges Lane. Though the bars at the stadium will be open, alcohol may not be taken outside of these areas and is not permitted to be taken into the stadium.
  3. As with the Students' Union's general policy on transport to and from fixtures alcohol is not permitted on any transport to or from Varsity 2010 events.
