Varsity 2012

We are well underway with planning Varsity 2012. As soon as we have confirmed details we will let you know. Keep checking back for the latest Varsity 2012 information.

"Preparations start now"

Two Universities. Thirteen Fixtures. Only One Winner. Varsity 2011 is Here.

Yes it's that time of year again. The dust may be settling on another hectic winter of BUCS sport, but there is still much at stake for Worcester sportsmen and women as the annual Varsity series is upon us once more. Beaten 8-5 in the 2010 Varsity series Worcester are out for revenge this year as they get set to do battle with the University of Gloucestershire across 13 different events.

This year's Varsity will follow a similar format to the 2010 series, with 13 Varsity events and one exhibition fixture spread across two weeks and three cities. The series kicks off with American Football at The Folley in Cheltenham on Sunday 27th March and will roll on to its conclusion at the famous Kingsholm Stadium, home of Gloucester RFC, on Wednesday 6th April. More details on the events can be found via the 'Schedule' button below, whilst the 'Venues' button will give you more information on each location chosen for this year's series.

Although being run along the same format this year's series has had a slight shift in events. Unfortunately with University of Gloucestershire not currently operating a Men's Football or Rugby Union set-up these events have been dropped from last year. But in their place come the new additions of Volleyball and Dance, and in the form of an exhibition match a Rugby Clash of the Codes fixture as Worcester's Rugby Union side face Gloucestershire's Rugby League boys. Further details on each match can be found via the 'Fixtures' link below.

As ever, Worcester's kit and clothing partner Kitlocker is providing official Varsity clothing and merchandise which can be found via the 'Clothing' button below. Information on ticketing, including prices and how to get hold of tickets for events can also be found via the appropriate link below.
