A particularly useful document in the NUS Deposit Recovery Pack which advises students step by step on how to try to reclaim three times their housing deposit if a landlord fails to protect it correctly.

The Citizen's Advice consumer webite contains lots of information on all aspects of housing and community. The section on renting a home has articles on housing contracts, tenanacy deposits and issues such as getting repairs done whilst renting which is a common problem for students.
