UMS and Academic Year Student Consultation

Plans are afoot to make some significant changes to the undergraduate modular scheme (this is all undergraduate modules apart from those aligned to health or education). Some of the proposed changes include reducing the number of joint combinations available, a shorter Christmas break in order to start Semester 2 lectures earlier and having longer 30 credit modules. These changes will be implemented in 2013 so are likely to be of particular interest to current  first-year students, who will be directly affected, but all students are likely to have a view on how these changes might impact on the whole student experience.

The University has been consulting with staff and now wants to hear the views and concerns of students. If you could not make the consultation then you can view the presentation and full consultation by clicking the links below.

Q&A The Hive

When are the books moving to the Hive?

Can a member of the public take out the book I need?

Lots of questions are being asked about the move of the library to the Hive. Student Academic Reps had the chance to meet the head of ILS to ask these questions, if you missed it, you still have the chance to ask these questions at Q&A sessions in the SU, click here to see where and when.

Alternatively, click here to look at the presentation used and find out more about The Hive.
