Welcome to our page on the SU, here you can find all the information needed in order to join us and make sure you enjoy your experience here at Uow!

Womens hockey focuses on building friendships, developing skills, helping the University and community around it through RAG opportunities and making sure all our members are enjoying their experiences at University. 

We accept anyone! We offer 2 different types of memberships that can be purchased on the website. If you're interested in taking part in training sessions and matches as well as socials with us then you will need to buy the full membership. If you're just looking to spend time with a close knit group of girls, you can buy our social membership where you are then able to join us on all of our social activities. 

Our social schedule is busy! Each Wednesday we offer nights out as a group where we have a theme and a house to have a couple drinks at before going out to mode and tramps. Other than this we also offer sober socials, examples throughout the last year include going on fun runs together, meals at Zizzi and Toby Carvery and, walks up the Malvern Hills, with many more planned for the rest of the year! We also tend to join Mens Hockey alot at the Wheatsheaf Inn after trainings and matches!

We offer many opportunities for the giving back to the community with RAG events, last year we even held a Bingo rave at The Hangar where our tickets raised money for the Raise and Give charity for last year. This year we intend on raising even more money than last year with different events that are enjoyable and beneficial.

Each year University of Worcester goes head to head with University of Gloucester in varsity! All of the events and sports being held are enjoyable either way but here at Womens Hockey we agree its better when you're with a sport.

2023's varsity was enjoyable on and off the pitch for everyone, training together, supporting on the sideline, playing and celebrating together encouraged some of the best memories at University for the girls.

We managed to beat Gloucester with a 2-0 win in 2023 and have big plans to continue our successes for 2024 so make sure to follow us on the journey!
