About Us

University of Worcester Women's Football Club (UOWWFC)

The University of Worcester Women's Football Club offers opportunities to all who are interested. Whether you play football regularly, at a high level, or you just want to try something new, there is a spot for you on our team. You can become a member of our team by training with us regularly to compete in matches, or even become a social member, if you just want to socialise and meet people at different events throughout the year!

Last season we were fortunate enough to return back to normal British University College Sport (BUCS) games and have two teams entered to compete. Our first team rose to the challenge of competing in a difficult league and although they did not finish in a position they were hoping to achieve, it was a huge learning curve that has made them stronger. With our second team narrowly missing out on being top of the table during the 20-21 season, and unfortunately not being promoted. It was an aim that during our 21-22 season we would achieve this, and with the many convinicing wins they were able to be promoted for the upcoming season. This year we also played one very important game (Varsity) against the University of Gloucester Women's Football club... WE WON AGAIN! and we hope to keep this streak.

Under normal circumstances, we play regular league and cup fixtures, on what we like to call Worcester Wednesday's! After games (no matter what the final score is) all members will come together, as one team, in the evening for team bonding. Even though the club has multiple teams we work together to achieve the best we can, both on and off the pitch, but ultimately to create the best atmosphere and society we can!

Our teams have an experienced and qualified coaching team, who provide sessions, as well as support at training and throughout match days. As a club, we’re happy to offer you support and information if you are wanting to excel within the sport, or are just wanting to join a recreational team to play or coach.

Whatever you need, we offer the best support we can, both as teammates or friends.
