| Job Description: SHAD (Support and Housing Assistance for people with Disabilities) is a London based charity which supports people with physical disabilities enabling them to live independently and have a choice of lifestyle. As a volunteer with us your duties will vary depending on the needs and wishes of your service user, but are likely to include help with personal care e.g. dressing, help with household tasks e.g. cooking, and assisting the Service User to go out e.g. shopping. (A full list of tasks will be provided in the application pack). No experience is necessary, training in first-aid, manual handling and wheelchair skills is given. We require open-minded individuals with good interpersonal skills and a commitment to equal opportunities. Applicants need to be reliable and willing to be flexible. It is essential that applicants are physically fit. | ||
| Salary: £240 Per Month - The salary is actually a weekly allowance of £60.00. We offer applicants inclusive shared accomodation, living with other volunteers. We prefer volunteers to live-in. | ||
