National Student Volunteer Week (#SVW2015) is almost here, and #TeamWorc is getting involved!

1) Community Project: Nature Trail - Wednesday 25th 11:00am-3:00pm

We are helping the Worcester Roots Foundation by turning up in force at The Fold in Bransford to help build a nature trail for the community. Tasks include:

- Laying paths

- Habitat creation

- Wicker weaving fences

- Land surveys

TRANSPORT AND TOOLS ALL PROVIDED - you just need to bring lunch, hardy footwear, suitable clothing and yourselves

2) #MadeMyWeek Campaign

Has someone done something that made your week? SHARE IT!

Using Facebook or Twitter, tell the world what happened to make your week using the tags #MadeMyWeek and #TeamWorc. Tag a couple of friends to ask them what made their week

3) Make Someone's Week! - Mon 23rd, Weds 25th , Fri 27th in the SU

Let's make someone's week! Do you have someone to thank in the #TeamWorc community? A lecturer, a friend, a team-mate, a partner?

Send a card (designed by student volunteers!) with a message to someone at the University/local community FOR FREE to say thank you! We will have a stall with cards to write on

This can be anonymous or signed off by you. If you can't make it in send your message to us (suvolunteering@worc.ac.uk) along with the recipients postal address or email address (if known), and we will send a physical or digital card at your request

4) Try Something New - All week in the SU

Do you want to get involved in volunteering but don't know where to start?

We will have two unmanned tables in the SU, full of a variety of volunteering opportunities so that you can look through at your leisure

Maybe you want to help with animals, in the community, at one-off projects, gain some experience or skills to add to your CV

Take a look - no pressure - no need to commit to anything
