9 am – Radio interview at BBC Hereford and Worcester about the future of the University in relation to tuition fee rises (perfect drivetime!)
10am – Settle in at work to check emails, find out what has been happening in the news and say hello to all Union staff!!
11am – Catch up with Richard and Helen about what their schedule is and plans for the week
12pm – Interview with students for a journalism module about the Pear Tree
2pm – Meeting with Vice Chancellor about accommodation prices for the next year
3pm – Catch up with Paul, Chief Executive, about contract developments with external companies
4:30pm – Chat with local County Councillor about improving car parking for students
5pm – walk home and stop by halls of residence to help students with issues they have been having and to find out about their experience whilst living there
VP Education
9.00am – Get into the office and catch up on e-mails, make a to-do list! Talk to Sam and Rich about what they’ve got on today
10.00am – Catch up with Kate Gynn, Student Advisor, about any education issues we’ve been hearing about from students
11.00am – Send an e-mail to all Student Academic Representatives about upcoming events that they can attend
12.00pm – Head down to City Campus reception to talk to students and find out if there is anything we can help them with
2.00pm – Academic Affairs Committee; a meeting with all of the Institute Representatives, finding out what’s happening in the institutes and any issues coming up
3.30pm - Catch up with ILS to arrange opportunities for students to find out more about the Hive
4.00pm – Write a paper for Learning, Teaching and Student Experience committee about what’s been happening in the SU and what issues students are having
5.00pm – Catch up on e-mails before heading home and making sure most of my to-do list is done!
VP Student Experience
9am - Meeting with Worcester Volunteer Centre, to talk about how we can encourage more students to get involved with volunteering
10:15 - Checking through constitution of new student group – Politics Society – to make sure it’s OK to go to Executive for approval as a new student society
12:00 - Meeting with Student Advisor about student accommodation issues
1:00 - Grab some lunch from Berry’s and have an informal chat with the Dance Society committee
1:30 - Varsity planning meeting with Sports & Societies Coordinator and Communications Coordinator
3:00 - City campus with other sabbs – talking to students about the Hive
4:30 - Community Forum with Police, City Council and Neighbourhood Watch reps
