Worcester Students’ Unions social bar 'The Hanger' (or The Dive Bar during term time) is a real cost-effective venue for almost any type of function. Be it a birthday party, staff party, reunion or anything else you can think of we have the facility and the experience to make it something to remember.

The Students’ Union building is at the centre of the St. Johns University of Worcester campus, and is easily accessible by private and public transport.

The social bar is the venue used for our Fresher’s Fair, Summer Ball, band nights and alternative entertainments. It boasts an impressive PA system, DJ booth, lighting system, large stage and dance floor area, two bars, balcony area and comfortable seating areas.  You can also hire DJ and Karaoke equipment from us.

Our venue holds a capacity of 800 people and is designed to be intimate yet not feel crowded. In the past we catered for events such as summer schools, trade fairs, Christmas parties, conferences and dance classes. We have experienced and friendly staff who are committed to making your event one to remember.

The Students' Union bar is available everyday out of term time, and on Saturday's and Sunday's during term time. So if you have an event coming up and need a large, low cost venue we are confident that we can satisfy your needs and requirements.
