► Be a Champion

The London 2012 Olympics are less than a year away and will be the biggest and best event in the UK for decades!

Be a Champion is about making sure that you as a student can make the most of the once in a life time opportunity that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games presents.

Worcester Students' Union will be getting involved in London 2012 by offering Olympic Inspired Events throughout the year! Led by our very own Student Ambassadors a range of events will take place to inspire all of our students. If you think you're up to the challenge then read on!

Worcester Students' Union Ambassadors

Oliver Mitchell - MITO1_09@uni.worc.ac.uk

Helen Gravestock - GRAH2_09@uni.worc.ac.uk

Oliver and Helen will be leading the way on lots of events, supported by the Students' Union. However they are also recruiting their own team of volunteers; if you would like to be part of the wider volunteering team get in contact with either Ambassadors on the above details or go to the Facebook page www.facebook.com/WorcesterUni2012

Challenge 2012 and Give it a Go

If you want to get involved a different way then Challenge 2012 and the Give it a Go sessions are the ideal ways to do so.

Challenge 2012 is all about designing your own challenge, either as an individial or team of people, and then undertaking it! The only criteria is that is must be based around 2012! So, you might like to put on a showcase of 2012 inspired photography, or organise a competitive challenge to see who can row 2012 metres in the quickest time. The possibilities are endless with a little imagination!

Give it a Go sessions will be an opportunity for you to try your hand at Paralympic sports, from wheelchair basketball to blind football. We will be releasing details of these soon.

All activities will run throughout semester two. A calendar of events will be published and made available throughout the University in the near future.
