When you registered with the University of Worcester, you automatically became a member of Worcester Students' Union.
Being a member of the Union gives you access to loads of free and subsidised services, and also means that you get the support and representation you deserve whilst studying.
Each academic year, three students are elected by you to take responsibility for the running of Worcester Students' Union. These 'Student Officers' take leave during their studies (or directly after) for a year and guide Worcester Students' Union to ensure it meets the needs of its students. Each officer also has an individual role in which they support, represent, campaign and organise events for students.
The three full-time officer roles are:
President, Vice President Education and Welfare and Vice President Student Groups
Working alongside the full-time officers, Worcester Students' Union also has seven part-time officers, ten trustees and a vast number of volunteers running sports clubs, societies and much more!
Student Officers work within guidelines established by all students through referenda and their work is overseen by Student Council.
Any student can stand for election to become an Officer. Elections are held every March.
